STYLUS PEN

I have been drawing on Android tablets for a while now.

I have made most of my drawings using a stylus that comes with the tablet. It’s very important to understand the difference in the drawing process for a tablet that comes with or without a stylus.

Tablets that come with a stylus such as Samsung Galaxy S4 and those without will have a big impact on your drawing. The precision achieved with an S pen for drawing is not achievable by your fingers alone. My recommendation for drawing on tablets is to buy a tablet that already has pen capability.

However, having said that, if you are a beginner, you can use the ordinary tablets (without pen support) that you can use with your finger or those general styluses made for capacitive displays. However, you will not achieve the precision of tablets with native pens such as the S-pen by Samsung.

As for pressure sensitivity, I would not worry about this at this stage since the drawing process really depends on your drawing techniques. I have made many drawings without this feature.
